Yalanda Jacques a native Texan, was born in Marshall. She's a Modeling Instructor,
Television Personality, and former Singer and Licensed Talent Agent. Yalanda has
been working in the modeling industry since she was 14 years old, and modeled in
the United States as well as in Europe.
As the President and owner of JabberMouth Entertainment, she's integrally
involved in all television projects produced for the company- serving as its Executive
Producer and Creative Director. The VIP System is the company's first major release.
Surprisingly, Yalanda is also a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where she
honorably and respectfully served her country for 4 years. It was during her years in Europe while serving
her country in the Air Force, that Yalanda became intrigued with the business
side of the modeling industry. She found it much more gratifying- and as she
was already pursuing her degree in Business Management- she found it to be
a perfect fit.
Upon returning to the USA, Yalanda moved to the Washington D.C. area at Andrews
Air Force Base (President's Base), and turned her focus to family. After a year in
D.C. she moved to South Florida where she opened, "JACQUES MODELS" in 1994.
Located in Ft. Lauderdale, this Model & Talent Agency focused on managing and
procuring work for over 400 models and talent for movies, commercials, runway
and print work.
Her success was fast and furious, as she was dubbed "the first African-American
Model & Talent Agent in the State of Florida". And one of the largest in Broward
County. Located just 20 minutes from South Beach, Miami- Yalanda had talent
working around the clock in films such as "Bad Boys I" with Will Smith; "Any Given
Sunday" with Jamie Fox & Al Pacino; "Bird Cage" with Robin Williams and many more.
Although very successful, she relocated back to Texas to be close to family, at
which time she closed the agency, and opened JabberMouth Entertainment in Dallas
with dreams of developing "The VIP System."
Yalanda has been profiled in the following media publications: The Miami Herald,
Ocean Drive Magazine, Miami Metro Magazine, The Boca Raton News,
Project Destiny Magazine, South Florida Business News, and many more.
Aside from her business accomplishments, she has spent many years volunteering
for those in need. Along with being a registered volunteer with the American Red
Cross, she has developed many Self Image/Esteem Workshops for various
organizations over the years. In South Florida she became a sought after
motivational speaker for many of the public and private schools.
She served as an active Board member with the Creative Arts Unit in Ft. Lauderdale
for 3 years (Division of the Broward County Boys & Girls Clubs). Because of
these accomplishments and more, she was recognized by Miami's HOT 105FM
Radio Station in 2000, as a "Visionary of the Village".
As her star continues to rise, she has even bigger humanitarian goals, for
influencing the love and care that is given to all children around the world. In her
own words- "I've only
just begun."
